With 5 teams and almost 80 players, the club based in the Greater Manchester town of Altrincham are one of the biggest university teams in the UK. The club is affiliated with the University of Manchester and works with both the Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Salford but takes players from as far as North Wales, Lancaster, Chester and more.
The club takes players of all abilities - from semi-professional stars to absolute beginners.
With 4 mixed-gender teams and a dedicated Women's Team, there's a space for everyone in the Metros.
We actively recruit throughout the BUIHA season for experienced players to join our Checking & Non-Checking teams as well as starting brand new players on their ice hockey journey at the start of the academic year!
